The Nikon 50mm 1.8 is a great lens if you want to shoot in conditions where there is very little light to work with and still achieve excellent shots. Nikon has obviously been paying attention to the competition that has been stealing away their customers thanks to the lower prices of their lenses. I do not know how they managed it but this lens is sold at an affordable price while retaining all the quality features one would expect from a Nikon product. Images are not only sharp but wonderfully detailed as well and overall the lens is very fast. I use mine primarily for portrait photos and the results are always outstanding. I really love the bokeh as well as it adds that special touch to my photos. The build quality is obviously a bit lower than what one can normally expect from a Nikkor lens but as this was done to cut down on costs, I do not mind.

I work for myself selling services to local businesses. In the past, I would get my leads by going door to door. However, I soon realized that this was not making me any money. The Sigma 10-20 is certainly my favourite lens yet. I have tried many of these in my time and I have to say that this truly trumps them all! It has the best zoom in its series, which I find highly useful when attempting landscape photography. The lens itself is fairly light which I particularly enjoy because it saves me having to ‘lug’ around vast quantities of photography equipment. The photographs come out a lot sharper than previous lenses I have tried, which is something I have struggled with the past, finding a lens that does not cause blurring in the images. Some of my friends who also really enjoy photography use the same lens and find it suitable for nearly all the types of photography they do. For all of these reasons I would gladly advise budding photographers to invest in the Sigma 10-20 lens especially for its fantastic value for money.
I am a happy user of this Sigma 10-20 3.5 lens. I personally did not purchase the previous version of this lens and I have never used an ultra wide angle lens before this lens. Therefore, my review here will be based purely on my opinion. I am not a technical guy as well and I will not post the entire lab test here. You can simply find them online easily. I am a Nikon user and I have found this lens to be 100% compatible with my Nikon D5100 DSLR camera. There are many lenses that will not autofocus with my Nikon D5100 camera because it is an entry level DSLR camera. However, this lens is the exception. Many people said this is due to the HSM motor, which is the equivalent of the Nikon’s AF-S motor. That being said, the autofocus of this motor is very fast and silent. I also enjoy the image quality that it produces because it suits my color taste very well.
