George Strait has won many awards for his country music, last last being in 2009 for Artist of the Decade from the Academy of Country Music along with a Grammy Award for Best Country Album “Troubadour”. In 2008 he won the award from the Country Music Association for both the Album of the Year, “Troubadour” and the Single of the Year “I Saw God Today”. George is the only artist in the history of music to have a top ten hit every year for thirty years. As of June 8, 2010, George Strait was named the top country music artist of the past 25 years according to Billboard Magazine.
