How Skippy influenced Australian tattoos

One of the most widely recognized images that symbolize Australia has to be that of the kangaroo. It is of significance to Australian culture in many ways – not least because these mammals are not found on any other continent – and has been a popular emblem in sports teams as well as becoming the world-renowned logo for Qantas, the national airline. This has also been used frequently on currency, coats of arms, toys and souvenirs. As far as Australian tattoos go, the symbolism behind this particular image may vary and some may choose it simply because of its connotations with the Australian culture. However, symbolically this particular animal stands for power, balance and strength.
