How to interpret and learn guitar notes

The chord diagram is very essential to be interpreted in order to learn guitar notes in an effective way. There are six vertical lines in a guitar chord diagram symbolizing the six strings. The head of the guitar is symbolized by the top line and there are frets along with horizontal lines. Almost every handbook on music has this diagram. To know on which fret and string you are supposed to place your fingers, there are black or complete dots. For playing open strings i.e. when strings are not played within the fretboard, pay attention towards the unfilled or unshaded dots. This way, music handbooks can make you learn guitar notes on your own.
