I Changed My Family Tradition
Pumpkin carving is something we never did in my home as a child. My mother believed it was a waste of food. One year, we were given pumpkin by our neighbor and this was the only time mom allowed us to carve them. I guess because she spent no money on them, it was okay. Well, since I am a mom now, I make sure my kids get the full experience of Halloween, with carved pumpkins and all. I never want them to feel different.
