Innovative teaching methods for ballroom dance San Diego, CA

In the 21st century, the methods of dance teaching have improved tremendously. In years past, dance students were taught through a system of patterns from a syllabus an often the patterns were taught in a sequence that the student memorized. This system of dance instruction created many dancers unable to lead or follow. An essential element of learning ballroom dancing is establishing a “connection” which is necessary for leading and following all t he social ballroom dances. The Core Elements Training system used at the Pattie Wells’ Dancetime Center is an innovative method that uses concepts to teach the elements of social dancing, movement for particular dance genres and rhythm units rather than rote learning of sequences. This system has already produced dancers with superior connection plus improved lead/follow techniques for ballroom dance San Diego.
