What’s with Kanye West and his MTV outbursts?
Kanye Omari West is definitely one of the best current singers come producer but he has anger problems that has caused him to be at odds with a number of artists and has also annoyed some of his fans. The recent incidence of kanye west exploding in rage was during the MTV awards of 2009. During this event, Taylor Swift of the hit song video ‘You Belong To Me’ had been announced as the winner of the best female video award. Apparently, west went and took the microphone from Taylor Swift and announced that she did not deserve the award as Beyonce’s music videos were far much better than hers. It was evident that nobody had expected this move from the star not even Beyonce herself. Surprisingly, in a local show afterwards, Kanye admitted that his actions were annoying and that he felt sorry for Taylor and also added that he would look for a way to personally apologize for his actions to Swift. But the big question is, “Is Kanye West really sorry for what he did or this was just another of his many phases?” Ascertaining this is not easy for it was not the first time Kanye had done such a thing. Kanye has expressed a similar behavior in previous MTV awards of 2006 and 2007. In the 2006 event, the rapper was angry that one of his videos titled ‘touch the sky’, came second to ‘we are your friends’ which was a collabo of Simian and Justice. He argued that his video was better and the fact that it had cost him a lot of money should make MTV consider him as the winner. Well, the rapper’s songs are good but he should understand that there are other equally competitive artists out there and his MTV’s angry scenes just bringing him unnecessary attention.
