Anyway, when I got to attend a conference in Boston, one thing I noticed was that the accommodations are just near the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. So I didn’t have a hard time going to and back from the convention center to my hotel. This is really the reason why Boston conference venues appeal to me.

Sometimes, it will be the most obvious sites – catch up sites.  These are the sites that will allow everyone to use them without signing up and can watch TV online absolutely free.  Really, no-one should be paying any sign up fees to watch TV shows online, if they say it’s free then it should be free without a sign up fee either.

The Cinema Audio Society recently released their picks for the best movie music tracks of 2011 with films like “Hanna” and “Moneyball” earning honors as some of the best movie music of the year. The Cinema Audio Society is a non-profit organization and is made up of sound professionals and various music mixing experts who nominate a number of films from the prior year and then vote on them to determine which film offered up the best movie music for the year. For all of the movies that the society nominated, only “Hugo” and “Moneyball” have made the cut for Oscar nominations.

The winner last year from the Cinema Audio Society was “True Grit” but even though that film was nominated at the Oscars for the award for best sound mixing, it ended up losing to “Inception.” The winner for the society the year before that was “The Hurt Locker,” and that film was also an Academy Award winner. The society also nominates films for its awards in a television category and nominated such television shows this year as “Boardwalk Empire,” “Too Big to Fail,” and “Game of Thrones.” Additional nominees included “Breaking Bad” and “The Walking Dead.”

There is another group of sound experts in Hollywood who also offers up nominations for their choice for the best sounding films of the year and that would be the Motion Picture Sound Editors who will also soon release their nominations in a number of different categories. The awards for the Cinema Audio Society will be presented at the Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
